Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This privacy policy covers Clipwright, the desktop application used by the BentoStack channel to create and schedule its own short videos, and the BentoStack web pages hosted on this site.
Who we are
BentoStack is a single-creator media channel that reviews free software tools. Clipwright is a personal desktop application operated by the BentoStack creator on the creator's own computer. It is not a hosted service: there are no user accounts, no sign-ups and no third-party users.
What the app does
Clipwright edits short videos on the creator's computer and schedules their publication to the creator's own social accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) using each platform's official API.
Data we access and store
- The creator's own account credentials. OAuth tokens for the creator's own channel/pages are obtained through each platform's official consent flow and stored locally on the creator's computer. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party other than the platform that issued them.
- The creator's own videos and captions. Video files and their titles/captions are produced locally and uploaded only to the creator's own accounts. For cron-based publishing, a video may be staged temporarily in a private storage bucket and is deleted right after publication.
- Nothing else. The app does not access data about any other user, does not read comments, subscribers, analytics of other channels, and does not collect any data from viewers of this website.
YouTube API Services
Clipwright uses the YouTube Data API solely to upload and schedule videos
on the creator's own channel (scope: youtube.upload). By using
it, the app complies with the
YouTube API Services Terms of Service
and the Google Privacy Policy.
Google user data (the OAuth token and the uploaded video metadata) is used
only to perform the upload requested by the creator, is stored only on the
creator's own computer, is never shared with third parties, and is never
used for advertising. This complies with the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements. Access can be revoked at any time at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
TikTok API Services
Clipwright uses the TikTok Content Posting API solely to post videos to
the creator's own TikTok profile (scope: video.publish), after
querying the creator's own posting options (creator_info).
Tokens are stored locally on the creator's computer. Access can be revoked
at any time from the TikTok app (Settings → Security → Apps and
websites).
Analytics, cookies, telemetry
None. The app contains no telemetry, no analytics and no crash reporting. This website is a set of static pages and sets no cookies.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or share any data with anyone. There is no data to sell: everything the app touches belongs to the creator and stays on the creator's machine or on the creator's own social accounts.
Data retention and deletion
Local tokens and videos remain on the creator's computer until the creator deletes them. Temporarily staged videos in the private storage bucket are deleted automatically after publication. To delete everything, the creator removes the local application data folder and revokes the app's access from each platform's security settings.
